new toy, the redux
So most of you may have seen my previous post when I got my new laptop. It's been working like a gem, and for the price I'm amazed by the quality. Important upgrade - glossy briteview monitor. My coworker has the base model of my laptop, and when I started playing with his I was getting worried that mine was going to have a crap resolution and contrast ratio like his. Tell me why Dell thinks they can put a 1280x900 resolution in a 15.4" lcd panel? Not so with the upgrade. It's the one thing I'd recommend for someone looking for a laptop.
But that's not why I'm here anyways. Today I finished off the rest of my tax return with a new toy purchase (in addition to paying some bills). A Panasonic DMC-FX01 6MP Compact Digital Camera. I've been eye humping this little camera on Amazon for the last few months, and today I finally bought it. I was surprised to see this little detail too: Buy this SD card for free when you buy the camera. Not that I need an SD card - I sadly bought mine off eBay a few years back for a lot more than free. But I know someone who can use the big card much more. Just make sure to use the code 2GIGAC49 at checkout. So in the end, 229.99 for a camera and a new SD card. Whee!
